so who’s behind the funky artwork?
I’m so happy to be getting positive feedback on the new collections, especially on Art to Wear (which I call A2W for short) and people have been asking who’s the artist responsible for the great prints.
Vernon Perez, local artist extraordinaire, does not just specialize in airbrushed art. Â He also creates installation pieces, accessories and is also a DJ! Â Below are some of my favorite pieces by Vernon:
For those of you who’ve been to our house, we have several metal artwork on both sides of the walls. Â This one is called LIFE and it’s actually the same pattern on one of the dresses from our A2W collection.
This is one of Vernon’s earlier works and he calls it ANTIBESO. Â I jokingly told him before that I keep track of my silverware so he better not convert my spoons into shades! Â He got the nickname Spoonman because of this.
I wear this copper cuff all the time. It goes well with most of the items in my cabinet, whether it be gowns, jeans, dresses, etc.
This hand designed miniskirt is from our first collaboration and we launched this way back in 2005. Â Since some clients still ask for this, we decided to come up with the A2W collection.
I’m quite excited with the new painting that he’s been working on for the past few weeks because it’s a portrait of me (an anniversary gift from the hubby)!
